Background of the Study
Health crises, including outbreaks of infectious diseases, malnutrition, and maternal health challenges, require effective communication to inform, educate, and mobilize communities. In Nguru Local Government Area (LGA), Yobe State, reporting health crises plays a critical role in shaping public responses and influencing policy decisions. The media serves as a vital bridge between healthcare providers, policymakers, and the public. However, reporting health crises in rural areas like Nguru is fraught with challenges, including limited access to accurate information, logistical constraints, and cultural sensitivities. A study by Yusuf and Abubakar (2023) highlights the need for robust health communication strategies to address these challenges. This research investigates the obstacles faced by journalists and media organizations in reporting health crises in Nguru LGA, emphasizing the implications for public health outcomes.

1.2 Statement of the Problem
